Ontario|Services for LawyersOrganizations / Associations 954 Legal Information Ontario (LIO) Legal Information Ontario is a non-profit organization which provides free legal information through its Legal Line program. The Legal Line telephone, fax-on-demand and internet systems consist of 1,000 topics within 35 areas of law.
With the assistance of over 5,000 participating Provincial and Federal Offices, and Community Organizations, Legal Line Guides are readily available to the Ontario Public.
Ontario lawyers and judges have embraced Legal Line making it a reality. Through their efforts, over 300 volunteer lawyers have created the premier resource for legal information. They have given generously of their time and knowledge, making these services unparalleled anywhere in the world.
With an increase of legal topics and the introduction of 'live' assistance, Legal Line continues to grow. A minimum of 700,000 Guides will be distributed in Ontario this year through our current government and community distribution centres. All Ontario residents now have direct access to the laws under which they are governed.
