  • Admission
At least 2 years of university level studies are required for admission to the University of Western Ontario's Faculty of Law. The application deadline is November 1st of each year. The LSAT is required, and multiple LSAT scores are averaged, except under special circumstances. The median Grade Point Average is 80% and the median LSAT score is 158. There is also an application fee.

  • Enrollment / Student Body / Faculty
There are usually over 2,000 applicants for first-year, while only about 160 students are enrolled. The total number of students for all 3 years is approximately 460. The faculty totals 67, made up of 28 full-time and 39 part-time.

There are four categories for admission into first year, one general category and three discretionary categories. The three discretionary categories are: aboriginal, mature and access. Although most applicants have either a three or four year University degree, applicants with a minimum of two years of University work (10 credits) will be considered. The special category is primarily for applicants who either do not have the educational requirements or whose academic performance has been significantly affected by some disadvantage.

Offers are made beginning in January and continue through the spring. Applicants will be informed in writing of the decision of the Admissions Committee. Primary factors in assessing applications are prior academic record and LSAT score.

In addition, other factors, such as employment history, extracurricular activities, and community achievements, are considered by the Admissions Committee. A tuition fee deposit is due within a specific date following an offer of admission.
