One distinguishing feature of the school is the fact that classrooms are located in the same building as the law library, and faculty and administrative offices.
- Degree Programs
Degrees available include an LL.B. and an LL.B./M.A. A full-time LL.B. program is three years in length, while a part-time program must be completed within 6 years. Prescribed first-year courses provide a traditional introduction to the study of common law. A Civil Law/Common Law Exchange program is also offered. The exchange is open to all students in their second and third year of law studies who are fluently bilingual in French and English.
Special programs available include the Clinical Litigation Practice course; and the Correctional Law course where students, under faculty supervision, provide legal advice, assistance, and representation to federal inmates in Kingston's numerous correctional facilities.
- Admission
Educational achievement and promise demonstrated through challenging undergraduate and graduate studies combined with a strong LSAT score are the primary considerations for admission to Queen's University, Faculty of Law. Multiple LSAT scores are averaged, except under special circumstances. The median Grade Point Average is B+ and the median LSAT score is 159. There is also an application fee. The application deadline is November 1st of each year.

There are usually over 2,200 applicants for first-year, while only about 160 students are enrolled. The total number of students for all 3 years is approximately 465. The faculty totals 72, made up of 30 full-time and 42 part-time.
- Expenses and Financial Aid
Full-time tuition for the Faculty of Law at Queen's University is approximately $10,000. Estimated additional expenses per year, including room and board, and books and supplies, is about $11,000. Performance and need-based scholarships and bursaries are available, as are minority bursaries and scholarships.

Activities and services available at the law school include The Educational Equity Program, which sponsors lectures and seminars on access to legal institutions, perspectives on law and legal education; the Law Student's Society; and Career Services.
