Community Legal Services
Region: Ontario Answer # 875Community Legal Clinics can be found at law schools in Canada. They are funded by the provincial law foundation and legal aid offices.
The legal clinics provide a way for the schools to engage with their local communities and help people who otherwise cannot afford legal representation.
The legal clinics provide an opportunity for the students to work directly with clients while under the supervision of licensed lawyers. Every school offers different programs which may include many different services, such as representation in family or criminal matters, mediation services, and social work services.
