How long does a local police destruction take?

Region: Ontario Answer # 2163

A destruction of fingerprints, photographs, and the outcome record usually takes six to sixteen months to complete. This includes time taken acquiring a copy of the record and ensuring that both local police records and the RCMP copy are destroyed. Some police services charge fees for Destructions.
