Legal Line is excited to once again be invited to the The Action Group on Access to Justice (TAG) sixth annual Access to Justice Week in Ontario (A2J), held from October 25 – 29.
As per TAG’s invite to Legal Line, “Access to justice is a fundamental principle of the Canadian justice system, and yet every day, many who rely on the justice system are faced with obstacles to accessing the services they need. Affordability, language barriers, availability of technology in virtual justice settings, physical distance from justice services and distrust of legal institutions are examples of everyday barriers that are faced by participants in the justice system. A2J Week brings together the broader justice sector to engage in meaningful dialogue, share best practices and drive change.
The A2J programs focus on themes of inclusive justice and community building and will deliver virtual public-facing workshops to help members of the public with everyday barriers to justice.
