These minimum age requirements apply to
- entering a physical casino (ID checks are done to ensure individuals are of legal age),
- online casinos,
- lotteries,
- sports betting, and
- for a person to take part in any other type of gambling.
However, there may by exceptions to this. For instance, the legal gambling age in Ontario is 19, but you can buy lucky scratch tickets at 18 years old.
