Once again, Legal Line partnered with Pro Bono Student Canada (PBSC) to give law student volunteers valuable work experience. This year, one student in particular, Sarah Spector, a first year law student at Western University, excelled in her role, writing and researching valuable legal information for Legal Line that strengthens our mission of providing Access to Justice to all Canadians.
Sarah chose Credit, Debt, and Bankruptcy to research and review—one of the longest and most complex sections. As a result of the exceptional quality of her research, Sarah was invited to participate in a recorded informational video for Legal Line addressing common misconceptions about bankruptcy.

Andreas Levine and Sarah Spector
Andreas Levine, her project supervisor and mentor, and Legal Line’s VP of Strategic Alliances, was so impressed with the quality of her work and her dedication, thoughtfulness, and diligence, that he nominated Sarah for the PBSC Chief Justice Richard Wagner Award, and Sarah won as outstanding student volunteer from Western University! The Award ceremony took place on March 30th, where Chief Justice Wagner presented Sarah the Award himself.
As always, Legal Line is proud to work with PBSC and continue to support and champion these future lawyers, as Chief Justice Wagner said, “for their ongoing work to dismantle barriers to justice and support underserved communities across Canada.”
Congratulations Sarah, and good luck in all your future endeavours!
