What age must you be to legally fly a drone?
Region: Ontario Answer # 3101There is no age requirement to fly a microdrone (drones weighing less than 250 g) and no licence is needed.
A drone pilot licence is required to fly drones that weigh 250 grams up-to and including 25 kilograms. You must be at least 14 years old to obtain a basic licence (operations certificate) and 16 years old to be able to hold an advanced licence. Anyone under the age of 14 can operate the drone as long as they are supervised by someone with a valid licence.
