Region: Ontario Answer # 2852The Law Clerk program at The Business School at Centennial College is a two-year (4 semester) Ontario College Diploma program that prepares graduates for career opportunities with law offices and other legal services providers, as well as the legal departments of Federal, Provincial and Municipal Government offices, insurance institutions, real estate offices, and other businesses.
Courses and areas of law covered include:
- Introduction to Canadian Law
- Computers for Law Clerks
- Civil Litigation
- Family Law
- Government Boards and Agencies
- Wills and Estates
- Debtor Creditor
Admission requirements
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent, OR mature student status (19 years or older)
- English Grade 12 C or U, or equivalent (minimum grade required) OR take the Centennial College English Skills Assessment for Admission
- English language proficiency

Successful graduates can enter the one-year Paralegal graduate certificate program at Centennial College’s The Business School, AND may take advantage of the College’s partnership with University of Leicester School of Law in the U.K.
Fees
Tuition cost for all 4 semesters of the program is approximately $5,400 and the cost of books and supplies is about $600 a year.
